Unleashing the potential of rockstar marcom leaders is my calling

Lead for Influence (text headline)

is the culmination of over 25 years of hard-won experience across every corner of the nonprofit marcom sector

What I believe

Social impact organizations that are empowered with strong marketing communications leadership are better positioned to achieve sustained financial resilience and scale their impact without sacrificing their people’s wellbeing or their strategic focus.

My core commitments

ACCELERATE IMPACT.

I courageously ask “what if” to ensure everything I do accelerates positive social impact.

1

LEAVE IT BETTER.

I acknowledge and live my responsibility to leave everything I touch better than we found it.

2

3

UNLEASH POTENTIAL.

I relentlessly embrace a strengths-based leadership mindset to unleash the inherent potential of every leader and team I work with.

EMPOWER TRANSFORMATION.

I set bold visions and leverage proven systems to empower marketing communications function transformation at scale.

Meet your advisor

After over 25 years earning my street cred as an integrated marketing communications and brand leader for social impact organizations, I now focus exclusively on being the "advisor I wish I'd had," with a vision to eliminate nonprofit marcom team burnout for good.

I'm drawn to complex sectors with equally complex audiences and have served on and led marketing and communications functions inside K-12 education, public health, climate change, renewable energy, freshwater management, equitable economic mobility, and more. I've been both employee and consultant for nonprofit startups, social enterprises, government, philanthropy, advocacy organizations, membership organizations, and labor unions.

The common thread in my career? Leading multidisciplinary functions  who's resource constraints and role demand resourcefulness, innovation, and strong collaboration across the aisle. I'm known for asking the tough questions, forging trusted relationships, and influencing transformative clarity and mission-fueling performance.

Outside of work, I'm mom to a grown daughter, Lydia, and to the coolest cat alive, Benny. I call Vancouver, Washington home (just outside of Portland, Oregon). And when I'm not building my business or serving my valued clients, you can find me hiking unreasonable distances and elevation in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
